Thankful for small things

I took a good look at my face in the mirror this morning. I have lots of wrinkles and age spots and other blemishes on my face. The one thing I didn’t see were blackheads on nose. I guess I should be thankful for that. If I did have blackheads then my nose would just look like a strawberry and I don’t want to have a strawberry on my face.

I got out my creams and stuff trying to make my face look a little younger. I don’t think I succeeded though but it doesn’t look as dry and shriveled up as it did.

Younger

Since today was my 57th birthday I’ve been thinking a lot about how to look and feel younger, short of plastic surgery. I know there are all kinds of skin creams and vitamins I could try but I don’t have a small fortune to spend on them to have them not even work. If I could find a sure thing like some type of hgh supplements that don’t cost and arm and a leg I might just try them.

I used to say, when I was younger, that it didn’t matter to me if I got wrinkles and stuff when I got older but I was wrong.. it does matter to me. I don’t really like how I look at all anymore.

Old skin

I know that wrinkles come with age but I was hoping I would one of the lucky ones who don’t look their age. But my skin is starting to let the world know that I’m old and I’m not happy about it. I would really like to find some anti aging products that work but I just don’t know where to begin.

Plastic surgery is out of the question. I don’t want to end up like I’m wearing a mask. I also can’t afford surgery and I know the insurance won’t pay for it. I used to have such beautiful skin and I miss it. I look in the mirror and don’t like what I see. My hair is thinner now too. It used to be thicker than what it is now and I really miss that. If I put my hair in a pony tail it looks more like a rats tail because it’s so thin.

I guess I’m just going to have to get over myself and just deal with it.

Need tips

bobeck_mimi2Usually I post recipes and tips here but now I need some tips. I’m getting older (55) and wrinkles are invading my face. Can anyone recommend the best eye cream to keep them at bay? I also need to know the best kind of makeup for older skin. My foundation creeps into the wrinkles and makes them look worse.

The wrinkles aren’t really deep but makeup makes the look like the grand canyon. I don’t want to look like some of these elderly women who put on makeup and end up looking like a group of clowns (like the picture above). I need a good moisturizer and don’t know the best kind to buy for my skin.

I need a makeover from someone who knows older skin…. HELP!!!

I hate my skin

My skin is beginning to look like it belongs on an 80 year old. It’s wrinkling in places where I don’t want wrinkles. The skin on face is going in the opposite direction. I still get zits at 54 years old. I guess I should go to CVS and pick up some Proactiv acne cream.

When I was a teenager I rarely ever got a zit. Since I’ve gotten older I seem to get them more often. It makes no sense to me. I went through menopause before age 30 (I had a hysterectomy at 27) and I always thought your skin got better with age. I guess I was wrong!
