Wicker Baskets

Wicker baskets can be used for all kinds of things. You can put them on an open shelf unit in your bathroom to hold towels, washcloths and toiletries. You can hang a small one on the wall in your living room, kitchen or computer room to hold your car insurance bills, electric bills and such.

Wicker baskets also make a nice decoration on top of your kitchen cabinets if they don’t go all the way up to the ceiling. They are great for putting kids toys away on shelves in their room. I’ve used small ones to put out wrapped candy on the coffee table and different sized ones for fabric flowers on the dining room table.

Large baskets make nice looking trash cans or laundry hampers. Large oval ones can be used as pet beds or even a temporary bed for an infant (of course you have to put some kind of pillow or padding inside first).

Wicker baskets are very versatile. What uses have you come up with for them?

Aluminum Foil

Do you know there are a ton of uses for aluminum foil? Well there are. You can use it for just about anything except for a substitute for a cell tower. You can wrap foil around the arms of your glasses when you dye your hair to keep from staining your frames. You can use heavy-duty foil to clean out your fireplace. Place a double layer in the bottom of the fireplace or just under the wood grate and when it’s full of ashes just fold up the foil and throw it away.

Foil can help you move furniture on a smooth surface too. Just put small pieces of foil under the legs, dull side down, and push the piece across the room. You can find lots more uses for foil here.

Baskets

I love baskets, those wicker ones, because you can use them for so many things. Put one in your bathroom with guest towels rolled up, some guest soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and wash clothes for when you have guests. You can use them in cubbys to put books, papers, toys, craft items and just about anything you want to keep out of sight. They’re great in the laundry room too to hide your detergents and fabric softeners too. They also are great for making your own gift baskets for new moms, holidays and anything thing else you can think of.

Baskets are not only useful but they’re pretty to look at too. I watch HGTV a lot and I get a lot of ideas from watching those shows. They’re always using baskets for storage.
