Dusting

I don’t have any fancy dusting cloths like some people have. I will use and old, beat up kitchen towel usually. Sometimes I will take old softball socks and just put them over my hand to clean. Using an old sock on your hand while dusting will make dusting things like lamps and small items much easier.

Your fingers can get into the small spaces in some things that a bulky towel won’t be able to get into. I keep some old socks and light towels around just for dusting. Just spray some furniture polish onto the sock or towel and start dusting. You’ll be amazed at just how easy it is.

A place for everything..

I hope… I hope that in my new place I have a medicine cabinet and a linen closet. I need a place for my towels and a medicine cabinet to put my make-up, moisturizers, eye cream for dark circles, toothpaste and all the other essentials in. Right now all my make-up and stuff is in a basket on the back of the toilet and it’s hard to find anything because it’s all jumbled up and a mess.

I can go to the dollar store and get some little organizers for the cabinet under the sink and keep that stuff there. In fact I think that’s just what I’ll do. Don’t you love it when you answer your own questions all by yourself? *wink*

Wicker Baskets

Wicker baskets can be used for all kinds of things. You can put them on an open shelf unit in your bathroom to hold towels, washcloths and toiletries. You can hang a small one on the wall in your living room, kitchen or computer room to hold your car insurance bills, electric bills and such.

Wicker baskets also make a nice decoration on top of your kitchen cabinets if they don’t go all the way up to the ceiling. They are great for putting kids toys away on shelves in their room. I’ve used small ones to put out wrapped candy on the coffee table and different sized ones for fabric flowers on the dining room table.

Large baskets make nice looking trash cans or laundry hampers. Large oval ones can be used as pet beds or even a temporary bed for an infant (of course you have to put some kind of pillow or padding inside first).

Wicker baskets are very versatile. What uses have you come up with for them?
