Hmmm…

I was just reading that vitamin c serum can help with sun damaged skin. As I was reading I was wondering if I just took an orange and just rubbed it all over my face if it would accomplish the same thing for free. I do have oranges in the house already.

When I was young there was no thought to ever putting sunscreen on before going outside (I don’t think it was even invented then) so until I was much older and the news started making a big deal out of using sunscreen I never did use it.

Hubby and I would go out in the boat almost every weekend and I always came back with a sunburn. I’m surprised I don’t have skin cancer. I know my skin does look older than what it should for my age.

I wonder if there is something out there that can really reverse my old looking skin and make it younger looking again.

She didn’t buy it..

My daughter had some skin problems on her face that started when she first went to Iraq. Nothing she tried would make it go away. She read some proactive reviews and decided to buy another product… not because of the reviews but because of the price.

She found something cheaper and it worked really well. Now her face is no longer red, dry and bumpy.. it’s clear and smooth. I don’t remember, off hand, exactly what it’s called but I do know it cost a lot less than the name brand stuff.

I’m so happy she got her skin problems (that the Army caused) cleared up and under control.

Old skin

I know that wrinkles come with age but I was hoping I would one of the lucky ones who don’t look their age. But my skin is starting to let the world know that I’m old and I’m not happy about it. I would really like to find some anti aging products that work but I just don’t know where to begin.

Plastic surgery is out of the question. I don’t want to end up like I’m wearing a mask. I also can’t afford surgery and I know the insurance won’t pay for it. I used to have such beautiful skin and I miss it. I look in the mirror and don’t like what I see. My hair is thinner now too. It used to be thicker than what it is now and I really miss that. If I put my hair in a pony tail it looks more like a rats tail because it’s so thin.

I guess I’m just going to have to get over myself and just deal with it.

Craters

No I’m not talking about the moon. I’m talking about the wrinkles on my face that seemed to have popped up overnight! I don’t think any kind of wrinkle cream will help the deep lines that keep appearing on my face.

Yeah, I know I’m getting older and it’s to be expected but… I want them to go away. I want my young skin back. I also started getting “old people” skin on my arms and I absolutely hate it! I won’t wear short sleeved shirts anymore because I hate how the skin on my arms look.

Anyone know where to find the fountain of youth that really works?

Do you know?

Do you know what causes those dark circles under your eyes? It’s really oxidizing hemoglobin which is caused by leaky capillaries. Sounds bad huh? It’s really not.. it just doesn’t look good to have “raccoon eyes”. It’s just that the skin around the eyes is very thin and a lot of rubbing of the eyes can cause the “bruising”.

As you get older the skin gets even thinner and you see the bluish color of the blood vessels under the skin even more. There is no cure for this but you can use cover up makeup to make them less visible. You can also try cucumber slices on your eyes to sooth them or search for using castor oil on the skin around your eyes. It’s supposed to help with the dark circles.

Ick

I need to find a good acne treatment because I have 3… count em.. 3 zits on my chin! 2 are big ones and one is a small one that is almost gone.

I used to have good skin when I was a teenager then as I got older my skin got worse. I just really don’t understand that at all. Isn’t it usually the other way around? I don’t even get my period anymore.. I had a hysterectomy when I was 27. At least I don’t get the greasy hair much anymore. In fact it’s gone the other way. It gets really dry and fly-away. It’s really bad in the winter and my hair likes to snap, crackle and pop and attack my face! I need to find something to help with that.

Zit problems

I was having zit (pimple) problems on my face. It’s probably from eating stuff like in the post below. I had one pop up in a very strange place. I never had one there before. It was on the side of my nose right about where my glasses rest. I was about to go and find the best acne treatment I could find and then it went away.

I don’t get pimples too often but when I do they are a royal pain to get rid of. I wish I had the skin I had when I was a teenager. I didn’t have these problems then!

I hate my skin

My skin is beginning to look like it belongs on an 80 year old. It’s wrinkling in places where I don’t want wrinkles. The skin on face is going in the opposite direction. I still get zits at 54 years old. I guess I should go to CVS and pick up some Proactiv acne cream.

When I was a teenager I rarely ever got a zit. Since I’ve gotten older I seem to get them more often. It makes no sense to me. I went through menopause before age 30 (I had a hysterectomy at 27) and I always thought your skin got better with age. I guess I was wrong!
