Fixing up

I have the bathroom all fixed up here. It just needs a nice paint job. I don’t really care for the color…. it’s too dark. I found a basket that I had with me that I put on the back of toilet tank that I have my deodorant, toothpaste, hair brush, combs, and makeup in (no testosterone cream though).

It’s so nice to have a full sized tub/shower, a real toilet and normal sized sink again. After living in a camper and using a tiny shower, a camper toilet and small sink I feel like I’m living in a castle!

Tip

Use rubber gloves when cleaning. I must remember this tip myself. I keep forgetting to use them and my hands get so dry, cracked, red and sore.

I heard another use for rubber gloves on TV awhile ago. I forget which show I was watching but they said to cover your hands in hand lotion, put on your rubber gloves and wash a sink full of dishes in the hottest water you can stand. When you’re done wipe off any excess lotion and your hands should be soft as a baby’s bottom.

I haven’t tried it.. I have a dishwasher. Maybe I should wash some by hand and give it a try.

Alcohol

I’ve found rubbing alcohol to be a great cleaner. It removes hairspray build up that gets on your bathroom faucets. It removes water spots and makes the faucets shine. It’s a cheap cleaner and you won’t have to dig into your savings accounts. A bottle of rubbing alcohol usually costs less than $1.00.

I use alcohol to get hairspray residue off my bathroom countertops, the rim of the sink, etc. It has a lot of uses.
