I’m moving tomorrow. I’m finally getting out of this camper. It’s been a long 9 months. I’m moving in, and sharing a house, with my daughter, her fiancee, my 10 month old grandson and their puppy.
Today I’ve been packing up my stuff from here. I have my toothpaste, clothes, sleeping pills, hairbrush, makeup and all the stuff I brought from the condo all packed up.
I can’t wait to get the heck out of here. I hate it with a passion. It will be so nice to have a heck of a lot more room to move around in. I’ll have a bedroom that’s about 5 times bigger than the one in this camper.
I went over to my sister-in-law’s house today to go through some stuff in her garage that I had stored there. It turned out there were only a couple things that are mine. But my oldest son, on the other hand, has a ton of stuff stored there. He has stereo equipment, pull up bars, boxes of papers and all kinds of other assorted junk. He’ll be in from Texas the end of July to sort through it all.
Sis-in-law is having a yard sale this weekend and probably one more before she moves out. She went through her spare room, which was wall to wall boxes of stuff she never unpacked when she moved into that house. She did a lot of throwing out of stuff and has a ton to sell at the yard sale.
I’ll be going over tomorrow to help her get everything priced and ready for sale.
When Andi got back from Kuwait she needed a place to live in a hurry so she rented a single wide trailer in a trailer park. She’s hated it since she moved in. This weekend she is moving into a house. It’s actually a house her and her ex had and it’s been up for sale. She talked to her ex and he told her to move into the house and just pay the mortgage (which is cheaper than any rent she would have to pay). So Andi is moving this weekend with a lot of help from friends at work.
Andi isn’t supposed to do a lot because she’s pregnant and has had some problems with spotting. Her friends are going to do the biggest part of the moving starting with her self storage unit and the stuff she has in the trailer. She hasn’t unpacked much at all in the trailer. She’s going to pay them with pizza and beer!
She’s so excited and can’t wait to move.
I have a spare bedroom that gets used once in awhile. I’ve been trying to decide if I want to move my office furniture (desk) out of the living room and put it in the spare bedroom. I already have a bed, dresser, 2 night tables, my elliptical and some boxes in there.
This would involve a lot of re-arranging of furniture. On second thought maybe I should just leave things as they are. If I do move the desk then I lose being able to watch TV while blogging. That wouldn’t be any fun at all!
When I got my new living room furniture I had to do some creative rearranging. See.. my elliptical was in the living room and after getting my furniture there was no room for that anymore. I folded up the elliptical and rolled it into the second bedroom where I had to do some more rearranging. It’s now in front of the window and there is still plenty of room to move around both sides of the bed. I’d love to have a separate room to keep my exercise/strength equipment in. Maybe one of these days when we get a house we’ll be able to do that.
