I have to start checking out nursing homes for mom. She has dementia and messes up her medications. Some she doesn’t take and confuses her best joint supplement for her dementia medicine and because she skips her dementia meds she’s getting very forgetful and gets nasty with everyone.
It’s not something I really want to do but I don’t know what else to do. The county won’t give any more help than they already are and her latest evaluation shows that she should be in a nursing home. Andi and I are going to visit some places and check them out and try to find the best one for her.
I take several different medications every day. Some are prescription and some are OTC. I take levothyroxine for my thyroid, Centrum Silver, 600 mg calcium twice a day and Seroquel to help me sleep at night and for depression. At least once a day I end up having to take some Tylenol Arthritis for my aches and pains.
