It’s time

It’s time for me to pick a new doctor that takes hubby’s insurance. The doctor we’ve been seeing for years doesn’t take Aetna and it’s getting way too expensive to continue going to him.

I need to get my thyroid medication because I haven’t taken it in quite awhile and now I’m always cold and beginning to put on some weight. I could take some conjugated linoleic acid to burn off the fat but I don’t really want to do that yet. I want to get my meds and get where I need to be and see what happens with the weight after that.

I also need to get meds for my osteoporosis. I don’t want to end up breaking a bone or something. I just want to feel healthy again.. which I don’t feel right now.

Check it out first

I see advertisements for all kinds of supplements on TV all the time. There are some I would like to try but it would be best if I check out reviews on a site like http://www.supplementcritic.com first.

Anytime you want to get something like diet aids or supplements, etc it’s always good to read all you can about them first. You don’t want to put anything into your body that could potentially do you more harm than good. Be smart about what you put into your body.

I need to get more multi-vitamins and calcium to take and I’ll do some reading to find the best ones I can find for a good price. I really do need the calcium because I have the beginning of Osteoporosis and my doctor told me to take calcium every day.

Sometimes…

Sometimes I just want to smack my husband. He gets all ticked off at me because I don’t have a job yet. I have been looking but the job market around here isn’t good at all. Then he goes and tells me I should go on social security disability because of my spinal fusion surgery I had a few years ago. I told him that I am still able to work, I just can’t stand or sit for long periods of time or my back hurts. That is no reason to have myself classified as disabled. Social Security would just turn me down anyway.

I can walk fine. I am allowed to pick up heavy things. The doctor told me, when he released me after the surgery and rehab, not to lift 90 lbs until I’m able to lift 50 lbs. In other words work my way up to heavier and heavier things.

Men!! Can’t live with them.. can’t shoot them! :)

Finding a baby doctor

Andi is still trying to find a doctor to take Benton to. The county sent her to one place that was the pits! It was filthy. There were blood drops on the floor that hadn’t been cleaned up and the floor was just plain dirty. Syringes were sticking out of the sharps container. A little one could have easily grabbed the syringes that were sticking out.

The only thing they had in the exam room to clean the exam tables was a spray can of Lysol. They didn’t have any sanitizer or wipes.

Andi walked out of that place without having Benton looked at so now she has to find a baby doctor that has a clean office.
