Did you know…

Did you know that there are virtually no hoodia side effects? Hoodia is made from plants that grow mainly in Africa.

Hoodia contains a chemical that tells your brain that you aren’t hungry. I’ve never used so I couldn’t say for sure if it works or not. Stress is my appetite suppressant and it’s been working quite well for me for the past, at least, two years. The stress comes from having very little money, no job and worrying about how the bills will be paid. I’m surprised my hair hasn’t gone totally white yet. I do have some stray gray hairs that get covered up with hair dye though.

The Economy diet

I am on a diet imposed by the economy. We can’t afford to buy much in the way of food so I’ve cut myself down to 2 meals a day with no in between snacking. I don’t need, nor can I afford, any appetite suppressants.

I was laid off in December 2008 and haven’t been able to find a job. Just recently I was informed by unemployment that I’m not eligible for the extended payments so I don’t have much in the way of money coming in. Unemployment said that I didn’t have 20 base weeks of employment in the base year of my original claim so I’m not getting the extended payments. I guess that’s because I was a temporary employee. I worked at the same place for 3 years but only worked from June or July to December. It was a seasonal place. I did work at least 20 weeks each year.

Hubby works but we have bills to pay.. such as rent, car payment, utility bills, etc and his paycheck just isn’t enough.

Acne

I don’t have an acne problem but I know people who do. the most common acne treatments is to do a twice-daily application of an over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide in combination with gentle skin cleansing and use a moisturizer. Wash your hair daily, especially if it’s oily, and tie it back so it’s out of your face. Avoid touching your face. Your cosmetics and creams should be water-based or “”non-comedogenic”" formulas. Be sure to take off all make-up at night.

Eat a healthy diet. Be sure to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Eat foods that contain healthy omega-3 oils such as ground flaxseed, salmon, and sardines. Drink six to eight large glasses of water a day. Vitamins A, B, C, and E, as well as chromium and zinc, play a role in reducing and preventing acne. Avoid refined sugar, fried foods, and trans fat (such as milk, milk products, margarine, and any hydrogenated vegetable oils). Some people find that chocolate, caffeine, carbonated beverages, iodized salt, shellfish, wheat and/or milk products aggravate acne.

Take care of your skin and it will take care of you.
