What that title should be is Organized. The cabinet under my kitchen sink has never been organized until today. I didn’t think to take a before picture but I took some after pictures and they are a little dark. I had to use my video camera and snag stills from the video because my camera batteries died and I need to get new ones. I probably should get rechargeable batteries.
I got a bit off track here. I pulled everything out of the cabinet and found a lot of stuff that shouldn’t be under there. I found a magazine with some weight loss pills reviews circled. I swept out the cabinet and then I got some boxes and put all of my large spray cleaners in one box. In another I put all of my furniture cleaners, air fresheners, etc. Then in a third box I put my boxes of Swiffer pads, duster refills, rubber gloves, spare sponges, etc.
I put the large vases I have behind the boxes along with a spare set of kitchen knives. It looks so much nicer under there now. I can actually find things with a minimum of effort.

Now that it’s getting cold you really need to have a fire safety plan. The first thing you should do is have smoke detectors and make sure your batteries are fresh. If you smell or see smoke immediately leave the building and call 911. Don’t try to save things from your home or apartment. Things are replaceable people aren’t.
If you are at work when a fire breaks out follow the evacuation plan posted at your workplace. Every workplace should have it posted. Look for the exit sign to get to safety. Stay low on the ground and cover your mouth and nose with a cloth to minimize the smoke from getting into your lungs.
I hope this never happens to anyone but it’s always best to have some kind of plan in place just in case.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words… that is if you have your camera with you.. and your batteries are charged or fresh… and your compact flash card is empty. If your batteries are dead then that picture is worth nothing.
I always download photos from my camera as soon as possible after taking pictures. When we went to Texas I downloaded every night when we stopped for the night. After we got home I transferred the pictures from the laptop to my desktop and then saved them to disk so I’ll always have them. It’s about time to do a photo backup again as I’ve added a lot more pictures to my desktop. It would be so sad if something happened to the desktop and those memories were lost.
