I tried it with the glove damp and with them dry. It worked much better when they were dry. So I guess I found another tip to share with everyone.

Last night Andi was changing Benton’s diaper and, for the heck of it, she took a clean baby wipe and rubbed at one of the spots on the carpet. We were all surprised when the spot came out. Who would have thought that baby wipes would remove spots from carpeting.

I went to the dollar store today and bought soft cloth baby wipes and got down on the floor and proceeded to clean up other spots on the carpeting. I just can’t believe how well it worked in removing those spots.

I’m definitely going to keep some baby wipes on hand to remove any other spots I see on this carpet.

Your fingers can get into the small spaces in some things that a bulky towel won’t be able to get into. I keep some old socks and light towels around just for dusting. Just spray some furniture polish onto the sock or towel and start dusting. You’ll be amazed at just how easy it is.

You can buy plastic coated things that you put under heavy furniture so it will slide easily across carpeting. When the movers came to move my stuff into storage they had some of those with rope attached to them and I was surprised at how easily they slid the heavy dressers out to the truck.

It’s always best to take care of your back when moving or lifting things. I know what it’s like to have a bad back. Surgeries are not a fun thing to have to go through.

For the sell pile you can either have a yard sale or if that’s not possible you can put an ad in the paper or sell them at an online auction place. You can try Craigslist too.

Once you get all your clutter cleaned out you’ll feel so much better about your space and be able to use your closets for the use they were intended such as hanging clothes in them.

Wicker baskets also make a nice decoration on top of your kitchen cabinets if they don’t go all the way up to the ceiling. They are great for putting kids toys away on shelves in their room. I’ve used small ones to put out wrapped candy on the coffee table and different sized ones for fabric flowers on the dining room table.

Large baskets make nice looking trash cans or laundry hampers. Large oval ones can be used as pet beds or even a temporary bed for an infant (of course you have to put some kind of pillow or padding inside first).

Your lingerie should always be washed after every wear because perfume, perspiration, and other lotions might stain the fabric.

Always sort your lingerie according to color so the lighter ones don’t get stained from the darker colored ones.

It’s better to wash your lingerie by hand rather than in the washer. But if that’s not possible, then always put your washer on delicate cycle and use cold water and a gentle detergent.

Before putting them in the washer, be sure to attach the hooks and the eyes so that they don’t get caught on anything.

When washing by hand, always use a mild detergent and wash your lingerie only in luke-warm water. This is very important for cotton lingerie because hot water could damage the color and the material. Also do not rub those your lacy things too hard because the lace can tear easily.

Wired and padded lingerie should be washed for a short cycle in washers otherwise the wire may come out or the pads may get destroyed.

Lingerie should never be dried in a dryer because the heat of the dryer could affect its elasticity, cause the under-wire to distort, and fray and shrink the trims. They should always be line dried.

For lingerie made from silk, satin, or synthetic use mild detergent and cold water to soak and rinse them.

If you do use a washer for your lingerie invest in a lingerie bag to keep them all together.

2. Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan, covered by at least an inch or two of cold water. When you start with cold water and gently bring the eggs to a boil it will help keep them from cracking. You can add a tablespoon of vinegar to the water will help keep the egg whites from running out of any eggs that happen to crack while cooking (the vinegar could affect the taste). Adding a half teaspoon of salt could help both with the prevention of cracking and making the eggs easier to peel. Put the heat on high and bring the eggs to a boil. As soon as the water starts to boil, remove the pan from the heat for a few seconds.

3. Reduce the heat to low, return the pan to the burner. Let simmer for one minute.

4. After a minute, remove the pan from the heat, cover, and let sit for 12 minutes.

5. Remove the eggs with a slotted spoon and place them into a bowl of ice water or strain out the water from the pan, fill the pan with cold water, strain again, fill again, until the eggs cool down a bit. Once the eggs are cooled, strain the water from the eggs. Store the eggs in a covered container in the refrigerator. They should be eaten within 5 days.

ps.. Eggs used to be bad for you because of the cholesterol they contain but it’s been found that eggs also help the good cholesterol.

ps2.. You still shouldn’t eat them everyday. A couple times a week is good.

ps3.. Try not to use too much salt on them. Too much sodium is never good for you.

That’s how I lost almost 10 pounds in the last couple months. I went from 153 to 144 when I got on the scale this morning.

I just can’t wait till hubby gets paid on Friday.. maybe.. just maybe I can buy a little food. We still have bills to pay. I hate bills.
