She didn’t buy it..

My daughter had some skin problems on her face that started when she first went to Iraq. Nothing she tried would make it go away. She read some proactive reviews and decided to buy another product… not because of the reviews but because of the price.

She found something cheaper and it worked really well. Now her face is no longer red, dry and bumpy.. it’s clear and smooth. I don’t remember, off hand, exactly what it’s called but I do know it cost a lot less than the name brand stuff.

I’m so happy she got her skin problems (that the Army caused) cleared up and under control.

I was just curious. Did you brave the crowds on Black Friday or did you do your shopping online? I went out on Black Friday once and only once. That was enough for me. I either did my shopping before or after that day or after shopping online became popular I did my shopping that way.

Shopping online is so much easier as far as I’m concerned. You save gas and a lot of times you don’t have to pay shipping either. You find a lot of good deals online and you don’t have to run from store to store checking out prices and comparing. I love being able to shop from home without wasting gas, freezing or sweating (depending on the season) and having stuff delivered right to my door.

How do you feel about shopping online? Do you do most of your shopping that way?

I need to go shopping really soon. I need to make some purchases in the women’s sweaters department. I need a couple of nice, heavy, winter sweaters. I have a few sweatshirts but I need something a little warmer.

I used to have a lot of sweaters that fell apart years ago and I just never replaced them. I love to wear sweaters because they’re so nice and warm and soft. I have a couple of light weight ones just no more heavy weight ones. Maybe if Santa sees that I’ve been a good girl this year he’ll bring me a couple!

Growing like a weed

Benton is getting so big that he’s growing out of his baby clothes so fast. He wears 18-24 month sizes now and he’s only 14 months old.

The temperatures are beginning to cool off and he needs warmer clothes and jackets now. He has a couple hand-me-downs that Andi’s friend gave her but he needs more.

I guess it’s time to go find some good deals and do some shopping so the little sweetheart can keep warm and play outside this fall.

Rainy day window shopping

Yesterday was a wet, rainy day. Andi, Drew, Benton (Jake) and I went up to Berlin to the Farmer’s market. It wasn’t real crowded.. they are at their busiest when the weather is nice and warm. They usually have an outdoor flea market too but with the nasty weather that wasn’t happening.

We walked around the indoor shops and did a lot of window shopping. Andi and Drew found a sofa and loveseat that they like for under $750 for both. There were good deals on tv stands too. I saw a mattress and box spring I’d love to have. It had a really thick pillow-top on the mattress. Just sitting on it I could feel just how comfortable it was. I know my back would love to have that.

Now we know where to go to get some really nice stuff when we finally find a place to live.

I have a lot of pictures on my phone’s SD card. It’s a micro card so I need to find some sort of adapter so I can transfer them to my computer. Thank goodness when I got my new phone a couple weeks ago I was able to put the SD card from the old phone into my new one. At least I didn’t lose any pictures.

I had the LG Rumor and got the new LG Rumor 2. I really like this new phone so much better. When I text I no long have to use the fn key to type numbers and a few other things. The best thing about this phone is that it was FREE! I had a $150 upgrade on our account and then there was a $99.99 instant savings on the website… so my $249.99 phone was absolutely free. I just love deals like that!

Busy computer day

I spent most of the day putting things up on EBay to sell. My brother-in-law has a lot of stuff in his garage that he wants to get rid of and doesn’t have the patience to add it all to EBay. I volunteered to do it for him. We are going to split the profits too. Yesterday I put up a bunch of HO gauge NASCAR slot cars and today was a lot of china and stuff. There is a lot more to do.. if only there was some high dollar items like certified diamonds but there isn’t.

Tomorrow I’ll be putting up some dachshund items and some more china. Just by checking on EBay I don’t know if these china things will sell.. but we’ll see.

I need a cheap laptop

I don’t mean cheap as in not well made. I mean cheap as in a great sale and really reduced or even free.

I’m out of a job and unemployment ran out and money is really, really tight. I wonder if I can get a laptop at a place that sells wholesale computers?

I used to have a laptop but the hard drive quit and I don’t think it’s even worth getting it fixed. It would be better to just get a newer laptop that has more memory and storage.

I can’t bring myself to toss the old laptop so it’s sitting on the top shelf of my closet. Yeah.. I’m a pack rat and that’s not good!

Late night TV

Have you ever had nights where you can’t sleep? Have you ever watched late night TV? It’s chock full of infomercials and commercials for everything under the sun. I’ve seen mesothelioma ads, ads for “male problems”, infomercials for food preparation products, exercise products and a lot more.

I’m glad I don’t have problems sleeping anymore or I’d be so tempted to shop, shop, shop late at night. I have a hard time not shopping online during the day as it is. But not having a job or much of an income keeps my shopping urges at bay… and that’s a good thing right now. I just have to stick to “window shopping” until I can find a job.

Stuff on EBay

I’m selling a bunch of stuff on EBay. I went through the closet in the spare bedroom and pulled out a bunch of stuff. I’ve had a couple sales and 1 person who bid and won on my elliptical but this person is in Chicago and I didn’t hear from them so I had to put into EBay to have them cancel the sale. That happened last night so now I’m fee to sell it again. I put it on Craigslist in the Sports/Sporting Goods section in amongst the golf clubs, golf training aids and other workout equipment.

Right now on EBay I have a bunch of glass/crystal items, a couple of old sewing patterns and a bunch of crochet/craft patterns. I sold a bunch of old post cards, travel brochures and stamps. EBay can become quite addicting!
