Hannah
Yesterday Tropical Storm Hannah came ashore in the Carolinas. My son lived in Myrtle Beach and he said it wasn’t bad at all. He won’t need to use his NC health insurance.. thank goodness. Hannah continued up the east coast and by the time she arrived in our area we some high, but not real bad, winds and some very heavy downpours.
Driving around today I really didn’t see much in the way of damage. There were a few small limbs down here and there but nothing major. We had a lot more damage from Gloria back in 1985. There were quite a few trees down in the neighborhood and we ended up with water in the basement. Our electric went out for hours then and it didn’t even flicker this time. With Gloria we had lots of thunder and lightning.. this time there was only a rumble or two of thunder.
