Romantic dinner for 2

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

It’s always nice to have a romantic dinner for 2. Pack up the kids and ship them to a relative or babysitter for an overnight stay. Prepare hubby’s favorite meal, turn the lights down low, light candles, pretty yourself up, put on your hot lingerie, pour some wine and watch the excitement happen. Hubby’s eyes will light up and it will give him something to remember for a long time.

Put some spark in your marriage. Every relationship needs something like this once in awhile.

Furniture arranging

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

When I got my new living room furniture I had to do some creative rearranging. See.. my elliptical was in the living room and after getting my furniture there was no room for that anymore. I folded up the elliptical and rolled it into the second bedroom where I had to do some more rearranging. It’s now in front of the window and there is still plenty of room to move around both sides of the bed. I’d love to have a separate room to keep my exercise/strength equipment in. Maybe one of these days when we get a house we’ll be able to do that.

Speaking of….

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

Speaking of food storage… don’t forget about your pets and their food. You can get all kinds of storage containers for everything from pet food to their pet supplies including treats, collars, leashes, brushes, etc. A good storage container for pet food will keep the food fresh and dry and also keep out bugs. It will keep your pet out of the food and he/she will only eat the food that is placed in their bowls.

I used to buy 20lb bags of food for our dog and he would always help himself in between feedings. We moved the food someplace where he couldn’t get into it whenever he wanted. I never thought, at the time, to put it in a covered plastic bin. That would have been the best thing to do.

Cupboard tips

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

A good thing to use in your kitchen cupboards are glass jars or canisters to keep your pasta in after you have opened the box. You can also use them for beans, flour, sugar, etc. Be sure to use some Primera labels on the jars so you know what’s in them. That also makes the cupboards look nice, neat and organized inside.

Those jars will also help keep out bugs and pests. You could even keep candy in them to help keep them fresh. Jars come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. You can get stackable ones, fluted ones, fancy ones.. whatever kind that strikes your fancy.
