Barber Foods - Review

Monday, January 28th, 2008

Chicken KievI found a company that makes Chicken Kiev as good as the Chicken Kiev that I make myself. The company is Barber Foods. This chicken is stuffed with butter, garlic and parsley. The chicken is all white/breast meat and it’s delicious. It comes frozen and you put it in the oven at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. It is so delicious. Serve the chicken with your favorite sides. My favorites are mashed potatoes or fried potatoes and corn or green beans.

Barber foods has a large selection of foods. I especially love their All-American Chicken fingers. I love to use them to make a delicious chicken sandwich, on a roll, with my “special sauce”. If you can find this product in your local grocery store/supermarket I suggest you try them. You won’t be sorry. I really love them!

Needle Case

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

My mother-in-law made this needle case for me. The outside is made of denim and the inside has lots of slots for my knitting needles and crochet hooks. She made this for me years and years ago.

The case is sitting on my knitting/crochet box. In that box is the case, yarn needles, patterns and in the bottom lots of yarn and crochet cotton. The can with the hole in the lid was my grandmothers. It holds a ball of yarn. You thread the end though the hole and you don’t have to chase your ball of yarn across the room. My grandmother is the one who taught me to knit and crochet when I was young.

The next picture shows the case open. It gets the top folded over and the sides folded in and is held closed by velcro.

The next picture is a closer one of the slots for the knitting needles and crochet hooks.

Uh Oh

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

The crochet bug has bitten me again. I’m sitting here printing out free crochet patterns. So a new thing gets added to this blog. I’ll be posting about my crocheting adventures and posting pictures and maybe some patterns.

I started out knitting years and years ago then I went to crochet. I like crocheting so much better. I always used to crochet and sew Christmas presents for the family. I’m thinking I’m going to get an early start on Christmas presents for this coming Christmas.

So stay tuned for a new feature on this blog! I get to use my “crafts” category! lol
