Christmas Ham

Today I am making a ham for Christmas dinner and wanted to share my recipe with you.

12 lb ham – shank portion
1 Reynolds Turkey sized cooking bag
Cloves
Splenda Brown Sugar
1 can *4 slices* pineapple
1 tbsp. flour

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Put the flour into the cooking bag and shake to distribute. Put ham into the cooking bag and fold the bag down. Then cut a criss-cross pattern in the top of the ham.

Ham

Take the cloves and put one in each diamond shape on the ham.

Next put the pineapple slices on top of the ham.. the cloves will hold them in place. Then add brown sugar on top of the ham and pineapple slices. Next pour the juice from the pineapple slices over the top.

Ham

Close the cooking bag and place in a roasting pan large enough to hold the ham and the excess bag. Cut 6 1/2 slits in the top of the cooking bag.

Ham in bag

Cook for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

We will be having mashed potatoes and corn with the ham. For desert we have apple pie with no sugar added. I cooked the pie earlier today. I cheated with the pie… it’s a Mrs. Smiths pie. There will also be French Vanilla ice cream to put on top of it.
