Got Wine?

I just found some cool t-shirts that I could give as Christmas gifts. If you know a wine lover I’m willing to bet they would love one of these Rhinestone Wine T-Shirts. Do you know someone who plays Bunco? Buy them a Bunco Queen t-shirt. I should get one for Marie… she plays Bunco! I think Shannon would love a Wine Diva t-shirt.

These shirts are made in the USA and come in a variety of styles and colors, like regular Tees and long sleeved Tees. Since it’s now winter I’d suggest long sleeved Tees unless the person you’re buying for lives in the warmer climates. They are 100% cotton and are made by American Apparel. The prices are very reasonable too. I just may do some Christmas shopping there!

My Chili

My ChiliIt’s cold so it’s time to make chili. I thought I’d share my recipe with you. There are no measurements… I just add what I want.

1 lb to 1 1/2 lbs 93% lean ground beef
medium bell pepper – chopped
medium onion – chopped
chopped garlic (I use the already chopped garlic in a jar)
salt
pepper
chili powder
1 large can of crushed tomatoes
1 medium can of tomato sauce
2 medium cans of dark red kidney beans – drained.

Brown the ground beef in a frying pan. While it’s browning chop up the onion and bell pepper. Add the ground beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic to your slow cooker. Mix well. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and kidney beans and mix well. Add the salt, pepper and chili powder (to taste) and mix well again. I use a lot of chili powder. This chili will clear your sinuses! Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

I like to add shredded cheese on top before serving. Hubby is always asking me to make my chili! This chili is hubby approved!

**The picture above shows my chili just starting to cook. It’s not finished!**
