Mocha Coffee in a Slow Cooker?

Yep.. you can make Mocha coffee in a slow cooker. It’s not a good idea to do it this way if you really want some mocha coffee right away. It’s good if you are having a dinner party. Just start it 3 hours ahead of time!

1/2 cup instant coffee powder
6 envelopes of instant cocoa mix
2 quarts hot water
2 cups of milk
cinnamon sticks and whipped cream

Put all ingredients except cinnamon sticks and whipped cream into the slow cooker and stir well. cover and cook on High for 3 hours.

Stir well after the 3 hours. Turn to Low. Serve immediately or keep warm as desired. Serve in mugs with cinnamon sticks and whipped cream.

Makes about 2 1/2 quarts.

I never would’ve thought of doing it this way. I have a slow cooker and rarely ever use it. Kids hate anything that comes out of it all because of one mistake. Hmmm, this sounds neat. Thanks for the tip.

Great! I’m saving this one for our chilly winter evenings…it sounds so much better than plain ol’ packets of stuff…I like that the packets are jazzed up! lol!

Homemom: You could even make hot chocolate in for those cold winter days! :) There’s no recipe in the book for it, but I’m sure it could be done :)

Now that’s a cool idea. I never thought of using my slow cooker for hot drinks.

I am going to print this one out- this sounds like something I would like to have going in my kitchen all winter long in Wisconsin. (which happens to be 9 months) - Michelle
