Moving Big

I’ve talked about moving on this blog before, but it was for residential and small moving jobs. What if you owned a company that makes large equipment, say for factories? How would you get the equipment where it needs to go? You would have to call a company specialized in that type of moving.

If your equipment shipment is international in nature such as to Mexico then Mexico heavy haul is a good option. LGI International is a company that specialized in heavy haul shipping and transportation.
They provide “door-to- door” service. You get a single bill for all your international shipping and trucking charges associated with the transport, directly to and from your customer’s doorstep. All USA and Mexican customs brokerage fees are included.

Kitchen Myths

Time for some more kitchen myths.

Avoid aluminum cookware because of Alzheimer’s diseaseFalse

This myth started a few of years ago when medical researchers found elevated levels of aluminum in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients. One possibility was that the raised aluminum level was responsible for causing the disease. People exposed to too much aluminum, from their jobs or their cookware, they would have a better chance of coming down with this disease. People started avoiding aluminum cookware. Some still are – unnecessarily. Research has failed to show any connection between aluminum exposure and Alzheimer’s. It’s believed that the elevated aluminum in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients is a result of the disease process. In other words, high aluminum levels do not cause Alzheimer’s, but rather Alzheimer’s causes high aluminum levels.

You must use a serrated knife to slice ripe tomatoesFalse

You can use a serrated knife for ripe tomatoes but it’s not necessary. If you find yourself turning to a serrated knife for slicing tomatoes it’s probably because your straight-edged knives are not sharp enough. Using a well-sharpened regular knife will make paper-thin slices from a ripe tomato – in fact, many people use this as a test for a knife’s sharpness.

1 1/2 (3) pounds stew beef, cut in cubes
1 (2) 14 oz cans of beef broth
1/2 (1) tsp salt

Tiles

When we put an addition on our house I did the tiling. I thought it was fun to do. We should have used glass tiles. They are pretty and would have added that sparkle to the bathroom. Glass tiles come on 13 x 13 inch mesh backed sheets which makes them so easy to install.

These glass tiles would make a very pretty backsplash in a kitchen. I love lavender so it’s the perfect choice for me. I could get marble tile or glass and stone mosaics that would make a pretty backsplash too.

The Glass Tile Store is the place for all of your tiling needs. Want river rock? They have it. This place is worth bookmarking!
