I finally did some tidying up that was long overdue. I had a bunch of paid bills and check stubs that needed filing. They were laying around in piles. I went through and separated them by items. I had some empty shoe boxes. I labeled them and put the sorted piles into the corresponding shoe box. Empty shoe boxes are a good place to keep your papers. Make sure to label the box with the contents and the year. That way you will know when you can shred or toss the contents.
