Hawaiian Chicken
Wednesday, June 27th, 2007Usually magazines contain tips from travel advisor, saying that travel accessories should be reduced to minimum. Stay should preferably be at cheap hotels.
Slow Cooker recipe. The amounts listed are for a 3-5 qt slow cooker. The amounts in ( ) are for a 5 1/2 to 7 qt one.
3 (6) lbs. skinless, boneless chicken breasts cut in half
1 (2) 16 oz. cans pineapple slices, drained or use fresh pineapple
1 (2) 15 oz cans mandarin oranges, drained
2 (4) tbsps. cornstarch
3 (4) tbsps. brown sugar, packed
2 (4) tbsps. lemon juice
1/4 (1/2) tsp. salt
1/4 (1/2) tsps. ground ginger
Combine all of the ingredients in the slow cooker. Stir well. Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours or on High for 3 hours. Makes about 6 to 8 servings (12 to 16 servings).
